What determines knitted fabric prices and the cost of a roll?

How to compare fabric prices per kilogram and per metre, and what to include in a quotation request.
What is needed for a quotation?
The price depends on the specification: yarn, fabric construction, weight, colour, finishing, quantity and production requirements. Two prices are only comparable when you know what they include. Check the sales unit, net weight, transport charges and whether tax is included.
Calculating the cost of a roll
For fabric sold by weight, multiply the net roll weight by the price per kilogram. As a calculation example, 18 kg × PLN 40/kg gives PLN 720 for the fabric. This is an illustration, not a current Yaro-Tex quotation. Individual rolls may have different weights.
Converting kilograms to metres
The weight of one linear metre in kilograms equals fabric weight in g/m² × width in metres ÷ 1,000. For 200 g/m² and a width of 1.8 m, this gives 0.36 kg per metre, or approximately 2.78 metres per kilogram. This is a theoretical conversion; actual measurements and agreed tolerances must be considered when ordering.
Requesting comparable offers
Send the composition, fabric weight, colour, quantity and delivery destination. Include the required date and any printing or finishing requirements. When comparing purchases by the metre and by the kilogram, use the same width and fabric weight. We confirm availability and the final price individually.
